I’m a freak, a misfit, an odd end.
Abandoned and unloved.
But my happiness is so close I can taste it.
Until he shows up.
Gorgeous, expensive, and all man.
Sad brown eyes and a brilliant smile.
And he wants me to go with him.
His intentions are hidden.
His motives are unclear.
Yet, I leave with him because there’s no happiness here.
What he promises feels too good to be true…
A castle. A fortune. And horses too.
It’s too easy.
Nothing in my life has ever been easy.
What’s the catch?
There’s always a catch.
About K. Webster
K Webster is the author of dozens romance books in many different genres including contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and erotic romance. When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers.
Her other passions besides writing include reading and graphic design. K can always be found in front of her computer chasing her next idea and taking action. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen.
This is one of those books that will really tug at the heartstrings after you’ve read it. I didn’t know what to expect when I read the first few chapters, but after awhile I realized that I can’t put it down! This is one of those books where you literally cannot wait to read every chapter without taking a break.
I’ve been a fan of K. Webster ever since I read The Day She Cried. When My Torin came out, it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I love the complexity of these characters, along with their limitations and determination. The emotions that the author conveyed through these characters are so raw and gritty that it will push down your boundaries of convential reads and it will make you cheer for them and hope that they will finally achieve their much-deserved happiness.
I love how Torin was portrayed as a character with limitations and not someone with a disability. Simply put, he is just someone different. His mind may not process the same way as normal people do but his emotions are there. It really gut-wrenching to see how he tries so hard to struggle and overcome his limitations. And at the same time, it is also awe-inspiring to see how Casey managed to make Torin come out of his shell.
My Torin absolutely sealed the deal for me when it comes to K. Webster. I am now officially a fan of this author. I can’t wait to read more of her books and upcoming releases!
