A hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.
We met in a trapped elevator.
Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.
I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right?
At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.
After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.
But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.
This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making ! Enjoy.

I expected this book to be some “meet-cute romance” and it was but I didn’t expect it to be such a fun read too! The level of quirky humor injected in the characters are so refreshing that it’s perfect for light reading over the weekend.
I personally love unexpected meet-cute stories and this is one of the best I read so far. The two unlikely characters meet at the most unexpected places and the plot almost sounded like the beginning of a joke that goes, “A man and woman gets into the elevator…”
I was absolutely by the steamy chemistry that Jenna and Emmett have together. What turned out to be a friends with “mutual” benefits kind of thing turned out to be one great blossoming romance. I loved how the author, Kendall Ryan, wrote a different kind of pregnancy plot that’s both very funny and swoony to read.
Showing the progression of these characters via the dual POV style of the book were also great. It was added fun to see Emmett’s side of the story and it added another layer to the book’s plot line. While most people may call this a cheesy romance (and they’re not entirely wrong), overall, I enjoyed the lightheartedness of this book. And I will highly recommend it for those looking for something to read while they shut down their brains and unwind over the weekend.
