Dating is difficult for someone like me.
I’m obsessive, arrogant, and rude.
This means I must be creative when bedding a woman.
I learn what I can about her through whatever means necessary.
Some call it stalking. I call it clever research.
It gets me what I want and when I want it.
When I get bored, I move on.
My system works like a charm…
Until a little ray of SUNSHINE shows up.

***

Dating is nonexistent for me.
I’m quirky, silly, and inexperienced.
This means my romantic life is certainly lacking.
I don’t date because no one’s interested.
Some say I’m an independent woman who doesn’t need a man.
But I know I’m on the fast track to becoming a lonely cat lady.
How many cats are too many cats anyway?
My boring world stays that way…
Until my future stepmother’s STALKER shows up.

Review:

This is not your typical romantic story. It is steamy and totally NSFW. Some may say that it’s taboo but I think that is what makes it even more exciting to read. I’ve been following K. Webster work since I’ve read The Day She Cried and I’ve been a fan ever since. Her stories are so intriguing and mesmerizing that I can’t help but be sucked into her tales.
And this collaboration with Dani Rene is absolutely one of my favorites. I love how the authors intrigued me with Cerys and James. Their personalities are absolutely different from each other but together, they just clicked. Cerys is your typical awkward teen who is just starting to find her way into this world. And James is your broody older man that simply oozes charisma and sex appeal with a bit (or a lot) of stalker tendencies. Their time together is explosive and oh so yummy. I love the complexity of James’ character and how the authors didn’t skimp out on showing his struggles and how he overcame it just to be with Cerys. That insta-love moment that they had going on is something that gives a right blend of dark and sexy romance that results in a perfect kind of happily ever after in its own way.
Overall, this book is a quick and easy read that will just make you ask for more the moment you’re done with the first few chapters. I can’t wait to read more of these author’s collaborations in the future.
